FAQs
What is 100 Cymru?
Cant i Gymru (100 for Wales) is a church planting initiative seeking to see 100 healthy churches planted in Wales in the next 10 years. We are working together across many networks, streams and denominations and believe that through this initiative many people will be reached with the Good News of Jesus.
What’s the purpose of the event?
We sensed a leading from the Holy Spirit to gather Christians from across
Wales for a ‘Day for Wales’ event. Our hope is that this event will be a
tremendous expression of unity on St David’s Day, and that it will stir our
faith to believe God for a new day of His kingdom’s advance in the nation.
There are many great leaders’ conferences and events around the nation,
but we sensed the opportunity to gather the Church more broadly to
celebrate what God is doing in Wales, to stir up faith for the part we might
each play in God’s mission across the land, and to call on God together for
a move of his power.
Who’s involved?
The event is being organised and run by Cant i Gymru under the umbrella of the Waleswide Cymrugyfan charity (1114022).
We are also delighted to be supported by the following partner organisations:
- Elim
- New Wine Cymru
- Baptist Union of Wales
- Union School of Theology
- Westminster Theological Centre
- The Bible Society
- The Derwen Project
- Sound of Wales
- Message Wales
- Wales Leadership Forum
- Souled Out Cymru
- FIEC
- Llanw
- Cariad
- Reach North Wales
- More to follow!
We are excited at the prospect of gathering with saints from all sorts of different networks, denominations and groupings to worship Jesus together.
When is the event being held?
1st March 2025
What are the timings for the day?
The day will run from 10am – 6.30pm.
Registration will be open from 9.30am.
Full program details to follow.
Where is the event being held?
The Royal Welsh Showground, Builth Wells. We will be using the New Food Hall as the main conference space (1000 seat capacity!)
How do I book?
Online booking here
Early Bird until 15th December
How can I get there?
Builth Wells was recently described to us as ‘mutually Inconvenient for everyone!’. One of the challenges in championing the cause of the Gospel across all of Wales is finding a location that honours the geography and landscape of the nation.
We have opted for Builth in the hope that it is close enough to the Southern cities that people will make the effort to leave the familiar surroundings of South Wales. But equally we hope that it is far enough North that those from the North appreciate us trying to make it accessible to them too. Here’s hoping!!
The best way to get there is to travel by car. There will be plenty of on-site parking and parking stewards to direct you on the day.
Builth Wells is only...
- 1 hour 20 minutes from Cardiff
- 1 hour 40 minutes from Swansea
- 1 hour 10 minutes from Aberystwyth
- 1 hour 50 minutes from Wrexham
- 2 hours 30 minutes from St David’s
- 2 hours 50 minutes from Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantisiliogogogoch
If you hope to travel by public transport, Builth Wells has a train station on the Heart of Wales Line (from Swansea to Craven Arms). The train station is 1.6 miles away from the Showground. If you need help with a lift please get in touch with the team.
Alternatively, Bus Routes can be found on www.traveline.cymru
Where can I stay?
There is accommodation on the showground at Neuadd Henllan.
You can contact them directly for availability on:
neuaddhenllan@outlook.com"
There are numerous other self-catering / B&B options in and around Builth Wells on all the usual accommodation sites.
I have a disability. Is there anything I should know?
The venue is accessible and wheelchair friendly. But if you would like to
discuss any specific requirements, please get in touch with our team. We
are glad to be supported by the charity Through the Roof.

Will the day be in Welsh or English?
100 Cymru is a bi-lingual church planting initiative seeking to work in and honour ‘All of Wales’. As such the day will consist of bi-lingual worship along with teaching and praying in both Welsh and English. There will be translation from Welsh to English throughout the day and the children’s ministry will be available in both Welsh and English.
This is not easy to pull off so please bear with all our efforts in this area!!
Do I need to bring my own food and drink?
We would encourage you to bring at least some of your own refreshments and food with you for the day. There will be outlets to purchase refreshments and food on site, but these will be limited and we wouldn’t want anyone not getting fed! We will confirm the options for food outlets ASAP.
Alternatively, there is a Burger King, Greggs, Co-op / Asda convenience store very close to the showground and further food outlets in Builth Wells town centre.
What about the kids?
There will be primary aged children’s ministry in both Welsh and English being run from a separate building on the showground. We hope that our children will have a blast together participating in this day and also having their faith stirred for what God is doing across Wales.
These sessions will run from 10-12pm and from 1-4:00pm and 4.30-6.30pm (film).
Please book U11s a Children’s ticket.
--
We are working on a plan to take Secondary age (11-16 year olds) out for at
least one of the sessions of the conference for a specific NextGen meeting.
Arrangements TBC. Please book an adult ticket for your high school age children.
--
There will be an unmanned creche for 3 and under. We are working on arrangements for this. Please let us know if this a facility that you will need. Email: post@100.cymru
Who is contributing to the event?
We are excited to have David Thomas from Asbury, Kentucky with us. We will have worship led by Sound of Wales and other worship leaders from around Wales. There will also be contributions from the Cant i Gymru team and other leaders making a difference in Wales. More info soon!
Gather25?
After committing to the event we found out that there is a ‘Global’ gathering of the worldwide church planned for the 1st March 2025 called GATHER25. It looks like we will be joining with this event in some way and may get broadcast across the world – watch this space!
Do you need help?!
Yes please!! We will be putting together teams for car parking, welcoming, stewarding and no doubt a host of other jobs over the coming months. If you’d be up for helping, please drop us an email: post@100.cymru
